Moodboard

Here is the moodboard for our music video project for our chosen song, 'The Weekend' by BIBI, 88rising.

I had fun developing this moodboard with my teammates as we can look up different inspirations and references on the internet (Pinterest, google images, movie or music video references). Since each of us may have different thoughts and ideas, we gathered several images individually before combining them to make the final storyboard in one Canva file using our associated concepts. This will allow us to provide vision and direction on how our music video will look visually, as well as keep the style and aesthetic consistent and on track throughout the whole music video. Overall, our music video theme will revolve around a grungy, party-oriented aesthetic with hints of girlhood and romantic relationships. Our major colour palette will be dark red, black, and white, which will assist us decide on the artist's wardrobe and makeup, the time of day, and the set design. In the beginning, my personal vision was fairly complicated, incorporating red in nearly every setting and costly props. However, I realised that we were unable to maintain that kind of budget, so I put together other images that are more realistic and have less crazy concepts and images that could be shot within our budget. In the end, we all agree with the idea that we all put out.
